Hank is Group Managing Director and Major Shareholder of Transtar International Freight, the business he founded in 1986. Hank has built a Top 500 private company and a pre-eminent industry reputation based on a genuine commitment to creating competitive advantage through people and outstanding customer service.
For over twenty five years, Hank has delivered supply chain strategies for a wide range of clients, delivering efficiencies, cost savings and real bottom line results. His direction and leadership has seen Transtar prosper to become one of Australia's largest privately owned freight forwarders.
During the last five years, Hank has co-led a major growth strategy of expanding our overseas offices into Asia and relocating non-customer centric functions to Transtar China data centres. Hank has also been instrumental in expanding the company’s service offering to include warehousing and third part logistics in all regions.
Prior to establishing Transtar, Hank was an Account Manager with Overseas Containers Limited ("OCL") where he gained extensive international trade and shipping experience. He joined OCL in 1981 and spent five years in customer service and consulting roles. Hank also directed a number of major client relationships in Australia during 1985. His sector experience has included a range of industries including packaging, chemicals, agriculture, building and retail.
Hank holds a diploma (Dux) in Commercial Shipping from RMIT, Melbourne and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and The CEO Institute.
